TIPS & TECHNIQUES FOR ADDING FUN TO QUALITY TRAINING

Abstract

Key words: accelerated learning, training exercises, quality, adult learning

This session will focus on helping those who design or deliver quality training by providing specific methods and techniques that adding fun to the learning process, through application of good old adult learning principles, games, cartoons and accelerated learning techniques.

We will cover: the basics of accelerated learning; adult learning principles; how to break learning into three key components: knowledge, skill & attitude; hands-on techniques for developing the quality attitude; ways to learn quality tools; creating job-aids for post-training application; and a Q&A with participants so we can all learn from each other!

Come and join us to have a fun time as we learn and share ways to make quality training a more positive and memorable experience for those we all teach back in the workplace.

Bio

Mr. King of ATX specializes in helping managers and teams with improving their daily and strategic performance and business practices. Tim has a Masters in Adult Learning and a Masters in Engineering. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) and Auditor (CQA), and a National Examiner- The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He is the current V-Chair of the Vermont Section of ASQ.
