VALUE STREAM MAPPING: THE KEY TO PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Abstract
We will demonstrate the importance of Value Stream Mapping, with the development of a current-state-map and future-state-map. Using three case studies: Hard Manufacturing, Assembly, and Soft Manufacturing (customizing proprietary software), we will demonstrate:
How the current-state-map paints a portrait of the problem
The process modeling nature of the future-state-map
The importance of planning the transition and
The benefits derived from implementing the transition plan.
Presentation Outline
