55th Conference was a great success!
MISTAKE PROOFING AND NO ERRORS
This one-day course introduces a powerful concept developed by Shigeo Shingo, the late Japanese quality guru. The cornerstone principle of Poka-Yoke is to build good quality in, not inspect poor quality out. Participants will learn how inexpensive mistake proofing devices can eliminate defects from the work place. Participants will also learn about a very powerful process analysis tool that compliments Poka-Yoke. The concept is common sense and extremely effective. This can be applied to Manufacturing and service organizations.
Gerry is President and founder of Gerard Bruno Associates, a management consulting firm specializing in leadership, process and quality improvement. He has been actively involved in process improvement since 1979. At that time he developed a program that reduced the number of steps in existing work flows by an average of 62% with corresponding reductions in cycle time and error rates. Gerry had over 23 years progressive experience as a manager. He teaches number of courses including Quality Management; process Analysis, Poka-Yoke (Japanese mistake proofing), and Employee Suggestion and Reward Systems.
