The Human Side of Auditing

Attendees will learn how to increase the effectiveness of their auditing by handling the most difficult challenge-People and their emotions.

Most auditors maintain that the technical side of auditing is not the most difficult challenge. Handling people and their emotional side is the more difficult. This presentation provides the audience with some time tested strategies to use in various auditing situations.

Presenter:

Mark Hehl is a Senior Consultant with SAI Global-Excel Partnership. His efforts have produced significant increases in quality, meaningful reductions in lead times and substantial cost savings at many worldwide clients.

Previously, Mr. Hehl was Manager of Worldwide Quality for The Timex Corporation. During his tenure, he implemented quality improvement and Six Sigma initiatives with the supply base in China. In recognition of his contributions, these suppliers honored him with the award of the Chinese name Ho Man Kai.

His work experience spans many industries including: aerospace, metal parts, plastics, glass, consumer products, electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, textiles, cosmetics and automotive. He holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology and a MS Degree in Management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. Mark was a Delegate and featured presenter (Quality Improvement in China) at the Third China-American Quality Symposium held in Shanghai, China, September 2004. Mark is listed in the United Who’s Who Executive Directory 2002-2003.
