Software Outsourcing has been an IT trend for the last 15 years and this has grown and matured to its full potential. It has become increasing for companies wish to cut costs while gaining an access to software professionals. On average companies are saving 40% to 60% in net savings. India has been the focus for software outsourcing since half of all the fortune 500 companies today are using these services.

Key benefits of outsourcing includes: Cost reduction, availability of trained IT staff, flexible manpower utilization, no upfront investments etc. Outsourcing is not a just a strategy of cost reduction but a strategic and essential growth element for the business. . Effective customer developer alliance and relationship is an important for building the competitive advantage as they unlock the capacity for state of the art software development. The companies must select right outsourced company, which has capability, capacity and provide services at the lower price on time.

Sanjay Patel has been involved in software development for 10 years and has been actively working with outsourcing partners for USA and Indian companies. Currently, he is principal of Perpetuating Technologies providing IT consulting, software development and outsourcing services.

Sanjay is an ASQ member and has been involved with ASQ Worcester section. He is a member of the NEQC 56th conference committee. He is Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Management System auditor. He has a bachelor degree in computer information and business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
