Kaizen Workshop

Today’s Managers often implement sophisticated tools and techniques to deal with
business problems. Some of the problems can be solved by commonsense low cost approach
like Kaizen. Putting commonsense into practice is the subject of this workshop.
You will experience a real practice. Kaizen is being used much more often in Japanese
businesses.
Presenter:
Steve Szydlowski is a Lean Manufacturing Specialist with over 30 years of
manufacturing experience. He has brought about radical change in numerous operations
by implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques to eliminate waste.
Steve has conducted various improvement projects using Kaizen as the tool for implementing
change and creating bottom line impact. He well versed in all aspects of lean and
has led Kaizen events in Value Stream Mapping, 5S Workplace Organization, Set-Up
Reduction, Cell Design, Pull Systems/Kanban, and TPM. Steve is an excellent trainer,
and has developed several Lean Overview training modules.
Steve has facilitated over 400 Kaizen events with impressive results including reduced
changeover times up to 90%, reduced lead times up to 80%, reduced inventory up to
55%, reduced floor space up to 45%, and increased productivity by over 80%.
During his career Mr. Szydlowski has held positions as Human Resources Director
for a business unit employing over 1400 unionized employees and has also managed
the daily operations of an aerospace manufacturing unit consisting of 375 employees
with $30 million in Annual Sales.
