Supplier Monitoring and Certification - More than Quality
& Delivery
David Potty, Consultant
Value Added Quality Services
72 Stoney Brook Drive Whitinsville, Ma 01588

This presentation was set up to give the recipient a better method of dealing with
suppliers. Suppliers should be considered part of your operations. You should be
creating a partnership with your suppliers and trying to manage risk. Monitoring
of those suppliers is critical. Suppliers can make or break your ability to meet
your customer’s requirements.
Taking it to the next level of certification is a lot of work and it is not a cheap
program. Certification requires a much higher quality level. You have to be careful
not to transfer problems from incoming to in process. That could create a problem
later in the operation which could be disastrous.
This presentation will give an overview of:
• How to set up a Monitoring program
• How to maintain a Monitoring program
• How to set up a Certification program
• How to maintain a Certification program
